Skin Care Routine for Combination Skin

Skin Care Routine Steps (Tips & Tricks)
Our Skin Care Routine

If you have combination skin, you know how challenging it can be to find the right skincare routine. But fret not, because we have tried and tested some routines that can work wonders for your skin. In this article, we will share with you a six-step skincare routine that will give you the glowing skin you deserve.

Step 1: Gentle Cleansing is Key

Cleansing is the first and most crucial step in any skincare routine. Always treat your skin with utmost care and avoid being too aggressive while cleansing. Opt for a neutral or pH-balanced soap to keep your skin’s natural pH level intact.

Throughout the day, your skin gets exposed to many impurities and bacteria, so it’s essential to cleanse them away before you start any routine.

Step 2: Exfoliate, But Do It Gently

Exfoliation is a powerful process that should not be overdone, especially if you have combination skin. It can cause inflammation if done too frequently or aggressively. The goal of exfoliation is to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores.

Exfoliation also stimulates the growth of new skin cells, which helps to smooth your skin and even out your skin tone. Twice or thrice a week of exfoliation is sufficient, preferably in the morning.

Step 3: Apply Serum and/or Toner

Serums and toners are essential for nourishing your skin with natural elements, which help to strengthen it and prevent wrinkles. Serums are particularly useful for specific skin problems, such as inflammation, pigmentation, facial blemishes, and fungus.

Toners provide an extra layer of hydration to your skin, making it easier for other products to absorb. Choose a toner that won’t leave your skin too dry or greasy.

Step 4: Eye Cream – Take Care of Your Delicate Eye Area

The skin around your eyes is delicate and vulnerable to damage, so it’s crucial to use a special cream to nourish and moisturize it. Only a small amount of cream is enough to cover the lines around your eyes.

Step 5: Moisturize – But Be Mindful of Your “T-Zone”

Moisturizing combination skin isn’t complicated, but it’s essential to do it the right way. Remember the “T-zone” we talked about earlier? Apply less moisturizer to this area as it doesn’t need as much as the rest of your face.

Use more cream during the day and less at night to keep your skin hydrated.

Step 6: Sunscreen – Your Skin’s Best Friend

Last but not least, always apply sunscreen, even if you’re staying indoors. Ultraviolet rays from electronic devices and passing through windows can still damage your skin. Apply at least two fingers’ worth of sunscreen to your face every 4-6 hours.

In conclusion, a balanced skincare routine that includes these six steps can work wonders for combination skin. By following these steps, you can achieve glowing and healthy-looking skin that will make you feel confident and beautiful.

A skincare routine for dry skin is not much different from the previous one. You should keep in mind that dry skin contracts and causes cracking that even reaches the lips, such cracks can be deep and painful as well as being a vulnerability that bacteria can take advantage of.

For this routine we will not perform exfoliation and, instead, we will apply more toner, serum and moisturizer to keep the skin fresh, it would look like this:

Resume:
► Cleansing.
► Apply toner and then serum or moisturizer.
► Use eye contour.
